The Office of Institutional Equity and Accessibility (OIEA) is responsible for ensuring Yale’s commitment to equitable and inclusive working and learning environments. This includes administering Yale’s Policy Against Discrimination and Harassment.

OIEA is dedicated to promoting an inclusive environment and provides education, guidance, and resolution options (including restorative practices) to prevent and address discrimination and harassment.

OIEA also oversees accommodations for faculty, other academic employees, visitors, and job applicants as well as religious accommodation and student accommodation appeals.

In compliance with state law, OIEA also facilitates sexual harassment prevention training for faculty and staff members. Departments that may be interested in a tailored and/or in-person training session should contact the office.
