Affirmative Action Plan

The Affirmative Action Plan is updated annually in the fall and is available for review in the Office of Institutional Equity and Access.

Title IX Coordinators

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C. §1681 bans sex discrimination in educational programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. In accordance with this requirement, University policy prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex. Any student, faculty or staff member, or applicant who has concerns about sex discrimination, including those pertaining to sexual harassment, is encouraged to seek the assistance of the Title IX Coordinator in his or her school or to consult with the University’s Title IX Coordinator, Valarie Stanley, telephone 432-0849. Any concerns about discrimination on the basis of sex may also be directed to the Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights, Post Office Square, Boston, Massachusetts 02109.

Affirmative Action Deputies

Affirmative Action Deputies have been appointed in each of the professional schools to assist faculty search committees in their schools with the recruitment of women and members of minority groups.
